The East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has started building water channels as long as 584 meters in several locations in RW 03 Cilangkap Urban Village, Cipayung.

It is targeted to be completed in mid-December

Drainage Development and Improvement Section Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri said the channels built were located on Jalan Assafi'iyah, precisely in front of the Cilangkap Urban Village office to Jalan Pete, Jalan Raya Cilangkap, and Jalan Pintu Mabes 2 TNI AL Cilangkap.

"The work is carried out by the third party winning the auction," he said, Wednesday (10/11).

It was done, the channel was unoptimal to accommodate water in large quantities, especially in the rainy season.

Of the total 584-meter-long channel, 452 meters were built using U-Ditch concrete measuring 60x60x120 centimeters. Then U-Ditch concrete 80x80x120 centimeters was 100 meters long.

It was also carried out using a 60x60x100-centimeter box culvert with 11 meters long and a 150x150-centimeter box culvert with 21 meters long.

"The work progress has touched 10 percent. It is targeted to be completed in mid-December," he stated.
